On Saturday 30th November 2024, the Lions Club Huon will be holding the Huonville District Christmas Parade.
The event will commence at 4:30pm and conclude by 5pm.
In accordance with Section 56A of the Vehicle and Traffic Act 1999, Tasmania Police have approved the temporary closing of the following streets approximately 30 minutes before the start to facilitate this event.
# Ranelagh Street from Elizabeth Street to Marguerite Street
# Cornelia Close
# Marguerite Street from Ranelagh Street to Agnes Street
# Louisa Street from Agnes Street to Wilmot Road
# Wilmot Road to Main Street
# Main Street from Wilmot Road to Heron Street
# Heron Street
# Tennis Court Road
Vehicular and pedestrian traffic wanting to travel o or cross the event route will be affected.
The road closures will occur only when the participants are on or approaching that section of roadway.
Police, SES and Traffic Controllers will be in attendance to manage traffic and will stop or direct traffic away from the event route.
