Together/ASU is an organising union with over 30,000 members employed in the Queensland Public Sector, Queensland Health and in the Private Sector including health, call centres and general clerical areas.
Together/ASU is seeking a motivated individual who will work in Gold Coast and be responsible for organising in and around the Gold Coast region. The successful applicant will be responsible for organising union members to improve their working lives. The role includes recruiting new members to the union, providing education and support to existing union members about their rights at work, providing some industrial representation, working with union delegates, activists and members to both develop delegate and membership structures. A working knowledge of contemporary industrial relations would be well received, and any union experience should be noted in your application.
