About Us

Tour de Cure is a leading cancer charity dedicated to raising funds for cancer research, support, and prevention programs through cycling, walking, and corporate engagement events. Our mission is to lead the way in finding a cure for cancer through inspiring fundraising initiatives and impactful community events.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Public Relations & Event Specialist to help amplify our mission, engage key stakeholders, and drive media coverage through strategic PR and event initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

•Develop and implement PR campaigns and strategies to raise awareness of Tour de Cure’s mission and initiatives through event activations

•Plan, coordinate, and manage special events, including fundraising rides, corporate engagement events, and community activations

•Oversee event logistics, sponsorships, budgeting, and media coverage to maximise outreach and fundraising potential

•Prepare and distribute press releases, media statements, and promotional materials that are related to the event program

•Conduct and analyse public opinion research to inform PR and event strategies to ensure Tour de Cure remain at the forefront of supporting cancer research initiatives

•Represent Tour de Cure at media engagements, community functions, and events to enhance brand visibility

•Arrange and facilitate media interviews for executives and ambassadors

•Coordinate logistics of content writers, photographers, and illustrators to ensure alignment with Tour de Cure’s messaging while on event


Qualifications & Experience

•Experience in project management and working with multiple public communities and local media teams to deliver highly visible events

•A minimum of five years of relevant experience in PR, media relations, or event management may substitute for formal qualifications

•Prior experience in a PR or event coordinator role is highly preferred

•Proven experience in event planning, execution, and management

•Strong written and communication skills

•Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholder relationships effectively


Preferred Skills

•Experience in managing large-scale fundraising or corporate events

•Expertise in digital PR, social media campaigns, and influencer marketing

•Strong networking and relationship-building skills

•Ability to handle crisis communication and reputation management


Annual Salary

$80k plus super
