NOTICE OF MEETING
TO ALL ABORIGINAL PEOPLE WHO HAVE A PARTICULAR CONNECTION TO THE COW BAY / DIWAN AREA
You are cordially invited to attend a community consultation meeting convened by Jabalbina Yalanji Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC (“Jabalbina”) and Department of Environment, Science and Innovation (Cape York Peninsula Tenure Resolution Program). The purpose of the meeting is to provide an explanation of, and seek feedback on the proposed transfer of 12 parcels of land in the Cow Bay / Diwan area. The land has been purchased by a philanthropic organisation for the protection and conservation of the Daintree lowland rainforest for proposed grant as National Park (Cape York Peninsula Aboriginal land). A map of the lands is attached and are described as Lots:

Maps of the land will be available at the meeting.
This meeting is intended to form part of a free, prior and informed consent process for the grant of lands to the nominated land holding entity.
All those Aboriginal People particularly concerned with the land in the areas described are invited and urged to attend the meeting. The meeting is being convened to coincide with another important meeting hosted by Jabalbina.
