124-142 Beamish Street and 16-18 Ninth Avenue, Campsie - ABORIGINAL CULTURAL HERITAGE ASSESSMENT
INVITATION TO REGISTER AN INTEREST
Artefact Heritage and Environment, on behalf of Arada (the proponent), is undertaking an Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Assessment (ACHAR) of the property known as 124-142 Beamish Street and 16-18 Ninth Avenue, Campsie. The proposal includes affordable housing development with 254 apartments, including three towers of 17, 25 (with canopy over roof top garden) and 33 storeys (including plant on top level).
Artefact Heritage have been engaged to prepare an ACHAR to address the Secretary’s Environmental Assessment Requirements (SEARs) (SSD-
5277...
) as they relate to Aboriginal heritage. The ACHAR will support an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the project.

The study area is located within the Canterbury-Bankstown LGA. We are inviting registrations of interest in the project from Aboriginal groups and individuals who hold cultural knowledge relevant to determining the significance of Aboriginal objects and/or places in the locality of the project. Please note that the consultation guidelines require us to provide details of Registered Aboriginal Parties to Heritage NSW and the Metropolitan LALC. In your response could you please advise if you would not like your details to be provided.
