2 & 4 Larkin Street, 1, 3 & 5 Pockley Avenue and 2-16 Pockley Avenue, Roseville - ABORIGINAL CULTURAL HERITAGE ASSESSMENTS
INVITATION TO REGISTER AN INTEREST
Artefact Heritage and Environment is undertaking Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Assessments (ACHARs) for two projects located in Roseville, Ku-ring-gai Council LGA. ACHAR 1 is for 2 & 4 Larkin Street, 1, 3 & 5 Pockley Avenue Roseville on behalf of Aqualand Prestige 1 Pty Ltd. ACHAR 2 is for 2-16 Pockley Avenue, Roseville, on behalf of Aqualand Prestige 2 Pty Ltd. Both proposals include residential flat buildings within the transport-oriented development (TOD) catchment with the provision of in-fill affordable housing.
The proponents are seeking Development Consent under Division 4.7 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 as a State Significant Development for both projects. The Secretary’s Environmental Assessment Requirements (SEARs) have not yet been issued but are expected to include the requirement for an ACHAR to inform an Environmental Impact Statement. Artefact is preparing ACHARs to fulfill this anticipated requirement, including consultation in accordance with the relevant guidelines.

We are inviting registrations of interest in the project from Aboriginal groups and individuals who hold cultural knowledge relevant to determining the significance of Aboriginal objects and/or places in the locality of the projects. Please note that the consultation guidelines require us to provide details of Registered Aboriginal Parties to Heritage NSW and the Metropolitan LALC. In your response could you please advise if you would not like your details to be provided. Please indicate whether you are registering for ACHAR1, ACHAR 2 or both projects.
