On behalf of Mirvac and Truslan (Adam Perrot Email: adam.perrott@mirvac.com, the proponent), GML Heritage seek registration from local Aboriginal groups and people with respect to the future application for an Aboriginal Heritage Impact Permit (AHIP) under Part 6 of the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974.
The study area is located in Ingleside and Elanora Heights and include: 1, 3, 5, 7 & 9 Wilson Avenue, 212-222 Powderworks Road, 8-14 Wilga Street, and Lot 65 DP 30255, Lot 2 DP 525908, Lot 3 DP 538508, Lots 2, 3 and 4 DP 1163689, and a portion of Powderworks Road corridor.
The purpose of community consultation with Aboriginal people is to assist Mirvac and Truslan in the preparation of an AHIP and to assist the Director General of Heritage NSW in their consideration and determination of the application. GML invites local Aboriginal people who hold cultural knowledge relevant to determining the significance of Aboriginal objects and places in the study area to register an interest in community consultation regarding the proposed activity. If you wish to register please provide in writing (a letter or email) a brief statement clarifying that you wish to be involved in future Aboriginal community consultation and how you will assist with the assessment of cultural significance associated with the subject land. Please be advised that the details of all parties who register an interest will be forwarded to Heritage NSW and the Local Aboriginal Land Council unless it is specified that these details should not be released.
