Draft Stones Corner Suburban Renewal Precinct Plan


At its meeting on 10 September 2024 Brisbane City Council proposed a tailored amendment to Brisbane City Plan 2014 and changes to a planning scheme policy to introduce the new Stones Corner Suburban Renewal Precinct Plan (proposed amendment) as part of the Eastern corridor neighbourhood plan. The proposed amendment applies to parts of the suburb of Stones Corner and also includes consequential changes to the wider Eastern corridor neighbourhood plan area.


The purpose and general effect of the proposed amendment is to:

  • amend the Eastern corridor neighbourhood plan code as it applies to Stones Corner and consequential changes to the wider neighbourhood plan area;
  • amend the tables of assessment for certain types of development in the Eastern corridor neighbourhood plan;
  • amend zones, neighbourhood plan and overlay maps to respond to finer grained planning for the area; and
  • amend the Infrastructure design planning scheme policy to update references to the Eastern corridor neighbourhood plan.

Submissions about any aspect of the proposed amendment may be made by any person from Tuesday 15 October 2024 to Tuesday 19 November 2024.

Properly made submissions must state:

  • the name and residential or business address of each person who made the submission and a single postal or email address for communication relating to the submission; and
  • the grounds for the submission, and the facts and circumstances relied on to support those grounds.

Written submissions must be signed by each person who made the submission.


Submissions must be received by 11:59pm on Tuesday 19 November 2024.
