Cemetery – List of Identified
Exhumations
In accordance with s.73 of the Burial and Cremation Act 2019, notice is given that 1,838 human remains have been exhumed from the former Queenborough Cemetery, 71 Nelson Road, Sandy Bay, and are to be reinterred at the Cornelian Bay Cemetery.

The list of names will also be published in the Tasmanian Government Gazette on 18 December 2024.
A memorial service will be held at Cornelian Bay Cemetery in early 2025 – a further public notice will provide details. A permanent memorial will be erected at the Cornelian Bay Cemetery and the Peel Street Reserve, Sandy Bay.
