PROPOSED RE-DEVELOPMENT AND EXPANSION OF THE IPSWICH WELLNESS AND HEALTH

CENTRE PRECINCT

Queensland Health is proposing an infrastructure designation at the above address, which seeks to expand the hospital and health care services to support the existing Ipswich Hospital. The project scope includes the following sub-stages:

• Operation of the Hayden Centre as an administration, virtual care and digital health centre.

• Stage 2.1 (funded) - Establishment of landscape areas and construction of multi-storey carpark comprising of seven (7) storeys and approximately 875 spaces, end of trip facilities, retail space and a supporting at-grade car park.

• Stage 2.2 (unfunded) - Construction of the Ipswich wellness and health centre (IWHC), comprising of eight (8) storeys and approximately 13,200m2 of gross floor area (GFA).

• Stage 2.3 (unfunded) - Expansion adjacent to proposed IWHC comprising of six (6) storeys and approximately 11,500m2 GFA.

• Future stages (unfunded) - Vertical expansion of building infrastructure that includes:

• three (3) additional storeys to the multistorey car park with additional 447 spaces.

• two (2) additional storeys, the IWHC and adjoining future building development

This proposal has been made as a Ministerial Infrastructure Designation (MID) under the Planning Act 2016.
