NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF AMENDMENTS TO THE LOGAN PLANNING SCHEME 2015 – LOCAL GOVERNMENT INFRASTRUCTURE PLAN INTERIM AMENDMENT (LGIP v1.3) AND ADMINISTRATIVE LGIP AMENDMENT 2024
Notice is given under the Planning Act 2016 that Logan City Council on 19 June 2024, adopted the Local Government Infrastructure Plan Interim Amendment (LGIP v1.3) and on 30 October 2024, adopted the Administrative LGIP Amendment 2024.
The purpose and general effect of the proposed Local Government Infrastructure Plan Interim Amendment (LGIP v1.3) is to:
• update the LGIP timeframe to accommodate growth up to 2036, prepared on a base date of 30 June 2020;
• update Table 4.2.1 in Part 4 – Local Government Infrastructure Plan to align development categories, types and uses with land uses in the planning scheme;
• separate land for community facilities from the parks network in Part 4 - Local Government Infrastructure Plan and Schedule 3 - Local Government Infrastructure Plan mapping and tables;
• update the desired standard of service for the water supply, sewerage and movement networks in Part 4 - Local Government Infrastructure Plan;
• update the planning assumptions in Schedule 3 - Local Government Infrastructure Plan mapping and tables;
• update the schedules of works and mapping for all infrastructure networks in Schedule 3 - Local Government Infrastructure Plan mapping and tables.
The purpose and general effect of the Administrative LGIP Amendment 2024 is to address factual inaccuracies in the LGIP. The corrections include:
• correcting the names of two projection areas in:
o Table SC3.1.1 - Existing and projected population;
o Table SC3.1.2 - Existing and projected employees;
o Table SC3.1.4 - Existing and projected dwellings;
o Table SC3.1.5 - Existing and projected non-residential floor space; and
• modifying LGIP-01.00 Local Government Infrastructure Plan map to align with the updated projection area names in the abovementioned tables.
The amendments will commence on and from 11 November 2024.
From this date, the amendments will be available for inspection and purchase at Council’s Administration Centre at 150 Wembley Road,
Logan Central, Beenleigh Customer Service Centre and Jimboomba Customer Service Centre or can be viewed and downloaded from Council’s website at logan.qld.gov.au.
