Brisbane City Council undertakes a rolling program of fire management to protect our city’s bushland and bushland neighbours. Planned burning of a defined area of bushland reduces the fire fuel hazard, potentially reducing the effect of future wildfires and helping maintain bushland health.
Neighbours of burn areas will be notified by mail before the burn. Weather and air quality forecasts are used to determine the best day for each planned burn so a date cannot be specified in advance.
