PROPOSAL TO UPGRADE A MOBILE PHONE BASE STATION AT

77 ADINA STREET NORMAN PARK QLD 4179

(Adjacent to Norman Park Station car park)

Telstra is proposing to upgrade the existing mobile phone infrastructure at the above address to allow for the introduction of 5G to Telstra’s network (and reconfiguration of existing technologies if required).

The proposal consists of the addition of NR3500, NR/LTE2600 & NR850 technologies (5G) and LTE2100, LTE1800 & LTE700 technologies (4G). Existing technologies to be reconfigured if required.

  • The addition of nine (9) new antenna
  • New triangular headframe
  • The addition of three (3) new Remote Radio Units (RRU’s)
  • The addition of six (6) new Tower Mounted Amplifiers (TMA’s)
  • The removal of redundant equipment including nine antenna
  • Ancillary works may be necessary for the safety and functioning of the existing mobile phone base station and may include antenna mounts, signage, conduits, cables, maintenance and safety equipment.

Telstra regards the proposed installation as a Low-impact Facility
under the Telecommunications (Low-impact Facilities) Determination 2018 ("The Determination") based on the description above.
