PROPOSAL TO UPGRADE A ROOFTOP MOBILE PHONE BASE STATION AT 616-620 HARRIS STREET ULTIMO NSW 2007.

Telstra is proposing to upgrade the existing mobile phone infrastructure at the above address to allow for the introduction of 5G to Telstra’s network (and reconfiguration of existing technologies if required).

• The addition of NR3500, NR/LTE850 and NR/LTE2600 (5G). Also included LTE1800, LTE700 and LTE2100 (4G).
• Six (6) new antennas for new technologies.
• Six (6) remote radio units (RRU’s).
• The removal of redundant equipment including nine (9) antenna and nine (9) RRU’s.
• Ancillary works may be necessary for the safety and functioning of the existing mobile phone base station and may include antenna mounts, signage, conduits, cables, maintenance and safety equipment.

Telstra regards the proposed installation as a Low-impact Facility under the Telecommunications (Low-impact Facilities) Determination 2018 ("The Determination") based on the description above.
