PROPOSAL TO UPGRADE AN EXISTING MOBILE PHONE BASE STATION ON UTILITY POLE WITHIN CORNER OF CANLEY VALE ROAD AND HUMPHRIES ROAD, ST JOHNS PARK NSW 2176 INCLUDING 5G

1. The proposed facility consist of the addition of new Vodafone 5G equipment and associated works as follows:

  • Replacement of existing Three (3) Vodafone passive antennas not more than 2.8 in length onto the proposed new turret mount;
  • Installation of Three (3) 5G antennas on the proposed new turret mount;
  • Installation of Six (6) Remote Radio Units on the utility pole;
  • Installation of ancillary equipment, cabling, GPS antennas and other items associated with the safety and operation of the facility; and
  • Reconfiguration and installation of equipment within the existing equipment shelter.

The proposed works will increase the overall height of the facility from 13.98m to 16.50m.

2. Vodafone regard the proposed installation as Exempt Development under State Environmental Planning Policy (Transport and Infrastructure) 2021 based on the description above.
