PROPOSAL TO UPGRADE AN EXISTING TELSTRA

TELECOMMUNICATION FACILITY (MOBILE PHONE BASE STATION)

The upgrade comprises the removal of ten (10) existing antennas and the installation of six (6) new panel antennas (each less than 2.8m in length) onto the existing lattice tower.

Installation and replacement of ancillary equipment such as remote radio units, filters combiners, mounts, cable trays, and cables will also occur and there will be internal works in the existing Telstra equipment shelter.

The proposed upgrade will improve existing 4G services from the facility and introduce new 5G services to the surrounding area.

Telstra regards the proposed upgrade works as ‘low-impact’ pursuant to the Telecommunications (Low-Impact Facilities) Determination 2018 based on the description above
