PROPOSAL TO UPGRADE AN EXISTING TELSTRA

TELECOMMUNICATION FACILITY

The upgrade comprises the removal of nine (9) existing panel antennas from the existing lattice tower and installation of six (6) new panel antennas (each less than 2.8m in length) and the installation of three (3) new panel antennas (each less than 1m in length).

Installation and replacement of ancillary equipment such as remote radio units, filters combiners, mounts, cable trays, and cables will also occur and there will be internal works in the existing Telstra equipment shelter.

The proposed upgrade will improve existing 4G and 5G services from the facility to the surrounding area.

Telstra regards the proposed upgrade works as ‘low-impact’ pursuant to the Telecommunications (Low-Impact Facilities) Determination 2018 based on the description above
