Telstra plans to upgrade an existing telecommunications facility at
64-88 Horseshoe Bay Road Horseshoe Bay QLD 4819 (RFNSA No. 4819002)
1. The proposed upgrade of the existing telecommunications facility consists of:
• The replacement of two (2) omni antennas on existing mounts;
• The installation of two (2) tower mounted amplifiers;
• The removal of one (1) tower mounted amplifier; and
• The removal, reuse and installation of ancillary equipment associated with the operation of the facility including feeders and works within the existing equipment shelter.
2. Telstra considers that the works are exempt from requiring development consent. The proposed upgrade involves the replacement of equipment on the monopole. As such, it is not considered to constitute a material change of use in accordance with the Sustainable Planning Act 2009.
