PROPOSAL TO UPGRADE AN EXISTING TELSTRA MOBILE PHONE BASE STATION IN COWLEY BEACH
Telstra plans to upgrade a telecommunications facility, Lot 11 Plan RP738701 Cowley Beach Road, COWLEY BEACH QLD 4871 (RFNSA No. 4871006)
The proposed facility consists of the following to improve Telstra’s mobile phone network, including 4G / 5G:
Installation of three (3) new panel antennas (each measuring 2688mm in length) at a height elevation of 28m on the existing monopole;
Removal of four (4) existing omnidirectional antennas from the existing guyed mast structure;
Installation, relocation and removal of ancillary equipment including; remote radio units, tower mounted amplifiers, mounts, cabling and feeders; and Internal works within the equipment shelter.
Telstra regards the proposed installation as a Low-Impact Facility under the Telecommunications (Low-impact Facilities) Determination based on the description above. The proposed infrastructure will comply with ACMA EME regulatory arrangements.
