PROPOSAL TO UPGRADE MOBILE PHONE BASE STATIONS INCLUDING 5G IN JOHNSTON, GRAY, PALMERSTON, RAMINGINING, TENNANT CREEK, & HOWARD SPRINGS

  1. The proposed 4G & 5G upgrade will consists of:

Johnston CMTS: 512 Stuart Hwy, Johnston NT 0832 (RFNSA 0801003)

  • Replacement of three (3) existing panel antennas with three (3) new panel antennas (each less than 2.8m in length);
  • Removal of six (6) existing panel antennas; and
  • Replacement and relocation of ancillary equipment incl. remote radio units (RRUs), combiners, mounts, feeders, cables and works within the existing equipment shelter.

Palmerston Exch: 65 Noltenius Cct, Gray NT 0830 (RFNSA 0830001)

  • Replacement of four (4) existing panel antennas with four (4) new panel antennas (each less than 2.8m in length); and
  • Replacement and relocation of ancillary equipment incl. RRUs, combiners, mounts, feeders, cables and works within the existing equipment shelter.

Palmerston Shopping Ctre: 10 Temple Tce, Palmerston NT 0830 (RFNSA 0830012)

  • Replacement of three (3) existing panel antennas with three (3) new panel antennas (each less than 2.8m in length); and
  • Replacement and relocation of ancillary equipment incl. RRUs, combiners, mounts, feeders, cables and works within the existing equipment shelter.

Ramingining Exch: Lot 129 Plan 901058 Ramingining Comm, Ramingining NT 0822 (RFNSA 0822003)

  • Replacement of six (6) existing panel antennas with six (6) new panel antennas (each less than 2.8m in length); and
  • Replacement and relocation of ancillary equipment incl. RRUs, combiners, mounts, feeders, cables and works within the existing equipment shelter.

Tennant Creek East R/T: Off Peko Road, Tennant Creek NT 0860 (RFNSA 0860002)

  • Reconfiguration of six (6) existing panel antennas at a height elevation of 53.3m; and
  • Replacement and relocation of ancillary equipment incl. RRUs, combiners, mounts, feeders, cables and works within the existing equipment shelter.

Bees Creek West: 285 Stuart Highway, Howard Springs NT 0835 (RFNSA 0835003)

  • Replacement of six (6) existing panel antennas with six (6) new panel antennas (each less than 2.8m in length); and
  • Replacement and relocation of ancillary equipment incl. RRUs, combiners, mounts, feeders, cables and works within the existing equipment shelter.
  1. Telstra regards the proposed installation as a Low-Impact Facility under the Telecommunications (Low-impact Facilities) Determination 2018 based on the description above. The proposed infrastructure will comply with ACMA EME regulatory arrangements.
