PROPOSAL TO UPGRADE MOBILE PHONE BASE STATIONS IN ADELAIDE AND ROSE PARK INCLUDING 5G

The proposed facility consists of the addition of new equipment and associated works as follows:

  1. A0119 Riverside: Riverside Centre, North Terrace ADELAIDE SA 5000 (RFNSA 5000032)
  • Removal of six (6) existing Optus and Vodafone antennas and equipment
  • Installation of three (3) Optus panel antennas (2700mm in length)
  • Installation of three (3) Optus panel antennas (730mm in length)
  • Installation of three (3) Vodafone panel antennas (2688mm in length)
  • Installation of three (3) Vodafone panel antennas (750mm in length)
  • Installation of ancillary equipment including twenty two (22) new remote radio units (RRUs).
  1. A0360 Rose Park: 160 Fullarton Rd, ROSE PARK SA 5067 (RFNSA 5067002)
  • Removal of six (6) existing Optus and Vodafone antennas and equipment
  • Installation of three (3) Optus panel antennas (2700mm in length)
  • Installation of three (3) Optus panel antennas (730mm in length)
  • Installation of three (3) Vodafone panel antennas (2499mm in length)
  • Installation of three (3) Vodafone panel antennas (750mm in length)
  • Installation of ancillary equipment including up to fifteen (15) Vodafone remote radio units, up to fifteen (15) Optus remote radio units
  1. A6768 Rose Garden: 124-130 South Tce, ADELAIDE SA 5000 (RFNSA 5000074)
  • Removal of six (6) existing Optus and Vodafone antennas and equipment
  • Installation of three (3) Optus panel antennas (2100mm in length)
  • Installation of three (3) Optus panel antennas (730mm in length)
  • Installation of three (3) Vodafone panel antennas (2100mm in length)
  • Installation of three (3) Vodafone panel antennas (750mm in length)
  • Installation of ancillary equipment including up to twenty seven (27) remote radio units
  1. The proposed upgrades involves The installation of new ancillary equipment including antennas mounts, feeders, cabling and other associated equipment
  2. Optus and Vodafone regard the proposed installations as Low-impact Facilities under the Telecommunications (Low-impact Facilities) Determination 2018 ("The Determination"), based on the description above.
