PROPOSAL TO UPGRADE TWO OPTUS MOBILE PHONE BASE STATIONS
Eastern Distributor Domain Landbridge between Art Gallery Road and Cowper Wharf Roadway, Sydney NSW 2000, Optus Ref: S5510, https://www.rfnsa.com.au/2000078
The works include:
- Reconfiguration of Optus rack equipment within in the landbridge services room on the west end of the Cowper Wharf Roadway.
- Ancillary equipment and works, or any other necessary activity for the installation.
Domain Tunnel between Conservatorium Road and Shakespeare Place, Sydney NSW 2000,

The works include:
- Reconfiguration of Optus rack equipment within in the southern plant room.
- Replacement of a GPS antenna above the southern portal of the tunnel.
- Ancillary equipment and works, or any other necessary activity for the installation.
- The proposals will add Optus 4G (LTE900) and 5G (NR900, NR2100) coverage. The 3G coverage will also be decommissioned for both sites.
- Optus regards the proposed installations as low-impact in accordance with the Telecommunications (Low-impact Facilities) Determination 2018 (Amendment 1, 2021) based on the descriptions above.
- Notification is being undertaken in accordance with Section 7 of Industry Code C564:2020 Mobile Phone Base Station Deployment.
