PROPOSAL TO UPGRADE EXISTING OPTUS MOBILE PHONE BASE STATION IN CARNARVON

Optus plan to upgrade the existing Telstra telecommunications facility below through the addition of new equipment: B2902 CARNARVON: On the existing monopole telecommunications facility at Lot 8 SP103687 Carnarvon Gorge Road CARNARVON PARK QLD 4702

  • The installation of one (1) new omnidirectional antenna onto the existing Telstra guyed mast at elevation of 16.50m;
  • The installation of a new ground mounted satellite dish adjacent to the guyed mast;
  • The installation of new ancillary equipment including antenna mounts, feeders, cabling and other associated equipment.

Optus regards the proposed installation as a Low-impact Facilities under the Telecommunications (Low-impact Facilities) Determination 2018 ("The Determination") based on the description above. The proposed infrastructures will be in compliance with the ACMA EMR regulatory arrangements.

In accordance with Section 7 of C564:2020 Mobile Phone Base Station Deployment Code, we invite you to provide feedback about the proposal. Further information requests and/or comments should be directed to Ventia:
