PROPOSAL TO UPGRADE AN EXISTING TELSTRA MOBILE PHONE BASE STATION IN KUTTABUL

1. The proposed facility consists of the following to improve Telstra’s mobile phone network, including 4G / 5G:
• Installation of a new 3.5m extension to the existing tower with an overall height of 25.6m.
• Removal of nine (9) existing panel antennas from the existing lattice tower to be replaced with nine (9) new panel antennas each measuring less than 2.8m.
• Ancillary works including three (3) new remote radio units, combiners, diplexers, mounts, cable trays, feeders, cables.
• Internal works within the existing Telstra equipment shelter.
2. Telstra regards the proposed installation as a Low-Impact Facility under the Telecommunications (Low-impact Facilities) Determination based on the description above. The proposed infrastructure will comply with ACMA EME regulatory arrangements.
