PROPOSAL TO UPGRADE MOBILE PHONE BASE STATION IN TUNCURRY NSW INCLUDING 5G
S1701 Tuncurry: Existing monopole facility on land at
5 RODMAY ST TUNCURRY NSW 2428 (RFNSA number: 2428003)
The proposed facility upgrade consists of the addition of new equipment and associated works as follows (including 5G):
- The existing pole will be extended 5m to accommodate Optus
- The installation of a new triangular headframe at 33.5m for Optus
- The installation of 3 (three) new Optus passive antenna on the new headframe at 33.5m, 2.6m in length
- The installation of 9 (nine) new Optus RRU’s on new headframe at 33.5m
- The removal, replacement and reconfiguration of existing Optus panel antennas and associated ancillary equipment including AAU’s, RRU’s, GPS antenna’s, mounts, cabling, hybrids, feeders, and other associated equipment
- Optus regard the proposed installation as Complying Development under the State Environmental Planning Policy (Transport and Infrastructure) 2021 based on the description above. The proposed infrastructures will be in compliance with the ACMA EME regulatory arrangements.
