PROPOSAL TO UPGRADE VODAFONE & OPTUS MOBILE PHONE BASE STATION (INCLUDING 5G) AT: 1132-140 MELVILLE ROAD, PASCOE VALE SOUTH, VICTORIA 3044 RFNSA SITE NO. 3044006
1. The proposed facility consists of the addition of new Optus and Vodafone equipment and associated works as follows (including 5G):
• Removal of the existing shroud (3.2m in length) from the turret
• Removal of three (3) panel antennas (1.6m in length) from the turret
• Removal of one (1) turret (3m in length) from the top of the rooftop tower
• Removal of a 150mm wide cable ladder strapped to the existing tower and wall
• Removal of three (3) remote radio units and mounts from the building wall
• Installation of one (1) turret on top of the pole (1.65 dia. and 845mm in length)
• Installation of one (1) tri-cluster antenna on the turret (less than 1.5m in length)
• Installation of a shroud (1.65 dia. and 700mm in length) below tri-cluster antenna
• Installation of six (6) remote radio units and mounts on the building wall
• Installation of two (2) GPS on equipment shelter
• Installation of a 300mm wide cable ladder to the existing mast
• Colour-match new equipment to match the existing colour
• The installation and removal of ancillary equipment including but not limited to transceivers, antenna mounts, BOB, MHA, feeders, cabling, combiners, diplexers, signage, and other associated equipment on the facility and in the existing equipment shelter.
2. Optus & Vodafone regards the proposed installation as a Low-impact Facility under the Telecommunications (Low-impact Facilities) Determination 2018 ("The Determination") based on the description above.
3. In accordance with Section 7 of C564:2020 Mobile Phone Base Station Deployment Code, we invite you to provide feedback about the proposal.
