PROPOSAL TO INSTALL A TELSTRA MOBILE PHONE BASE STATION AT AN EXISTING TELECOMMUNICATIONS FACILITY IN EAGLE FARM
Telstra plans to install a new mobile phone base station located at 41 Schneider Road,
Eagle Farm QLD 4009 (RFNSA No. 4009011)
- The proposal involves the installation of the following to improve Telstra’s mobile phone network:
- One (1) 5m extension to the existing 23m monopole.
- One (1) new headframe affixed to the monopole at an elevation of 26m.
- Three (3) panel antennas (<3m in length) affixed to the headframe at an elevation of 26m.
- Three (3) panel antennas (<1m in length) affixed to the headframe at an elevation of 26.8m.
- One (1) equipment shelter in the existing compound area; and
- Ancillary equipment including, but not limited to, remote radio units, cable ladder, hybrid cables, feeder cables, GPS antenna and electrical works within the equipment shelter and existing compound area.
- Telstra regards the proposed installation as a ‘Low-Impact’ Facility under the Telecommunications (Low-impact Facilities) Determination 2018 based on the description above. The proposed infrastructure will comply with ACMA EME regulatory arrangements.
