PROPOSAL TO UPGRADE EXISTING TELSTRA IN-BUILDING COVERAGE TELECOMMUNICATIONS FACILITiES WITH 5G AT JOHN CAIN ARENA

  1. The proposal comprises the installation of four (4) new antenna units (for NR3600 technology) and associated radio equipment in the gantry area, along with internal and auxiliary works to enhance in-building coverage at John Cain Arena, 35 Olympic Boulevard, Melbourne VIC 3004.

  2. The proposed installation is deemed to be low impact pursuant to the Telecommunications (Low-impact Facilities) Determination 2018 based on the descriptions above. Consent from Council is not required in this instance.

  1. The proposed infrastructure will be in compliance with the ACMA EMR regulatory arrangements.
