Temporary Road Closure
Mentmore Street, Berriedale
Under Section 21 of the Local Government (Highways) Act 1982, notice is hereby given that a temporary road closure will occur to undertake a raised pavement construction – Cycleway crossing where the Cycleway crosses Mentmore Street, Berriedale.
Glenorchy City Council is required to close Mentmore Street between Main Road and Maroni Road for raised pavement – Cycleway crossing works. The road closure is scheduled to commence on Monday 5th May 2025 for a period of 5 weeks subject to prevailing weather and unforeseen conditions.
The road will be closed to all through traffic during that time. There will be a detour in place.
Residents will still have access to their properties; however pedestrian access through the worksite may be restricted. There may be delays and/or inconveniences for duration of works.
Council apologises for the inconvenience this may cause and requests all residents/ motorists/ pedestrians to obey all advisory signs, detours and reduced speed limits during the above period.
