VACANCIES FOR MEMBERSHIP ON THE BATCHELOR INSTITUTE COUNCIL
In accordance with Section 12 of the Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education Act 1999, the Minister for Education and Training is seeking expressions of interest for nominations for the following two (2) positions on the Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education Council:
• Two (2) member vacancies – In accordance with Section 11(3)(b)(d)(e) of the Act to be eligible to fill the current vacancies at least one of the two vacancies must be filled by a person who usually resides in the northern region of the Territory. Nominees must have either “specialist professional or vocational knowledge about, or expertise in, delivering education and training, preferably to indigenous people in remote areas of Australia” or “experience, knowledge or expertise that is appropriate for the effective exercise of powers and performance of functions as a member”
All positions are for a tenure of up to three (3) years.
